Nra first steps program

I was curious, nervous because of the bad reputation of guns. The class made me comfortable with how they worked, and the dry fire hooked me. I never would have gotten into it through an online course which appeals only to those who have already made the decision to carry. Do you think the NEA's position will reduce the window of opportunity for women to learn about and be comfortable with guns?

I understand, and wish NRA would reconsider, but I don't expect they will. I hope that women will not be discouraged away from learning to shoot. It is so much fun, and if you choose to learn to shoot defensively it can be a great equalizer in an emergency one I hope I never have to prove. Hey Lynne, If you see this I was wondering if you would be willing to shoot me an email.

I have an article I wanted your opinion on. About Me I am also the author of 4 books, available on Amazon, and at many major outlets. I was an instructor for many years, Recently retired. Thank you for following along with me as this journey continues. Safe Shooting! Thoughts, comments and insights for women who shoot and the men who love us!

First, this is not a bash the NRA piece. Hands on time with an instructor followed hours of classroom instruction. It was easy, not intimidating and covered a lot of material at a high level. The Shooters Store. Gallery Of Guns.

CDNN Sports. Close Quarter Pistol C. KSP Online Renewal. Refuse To Be A Victim. Home Defense-What To Do. Specialty Classes Private Lessons. My troop has shot morning and afternoon. And we had a safety briefing twice that day. Also, I or someone I know reviews every shooter to ensure they have the basics of the firearm at hand.

At ranges I am a part of, we always work to improve marksmanship skills even when not trying to earn a badge. We have shot rifles at things other than paper targets and it is more fun when hitting said target is more than chance. I believe in fun with safety always in mind. I fell in love with shooting at summer camp. Last night was a high when one of my parents asked advice about getting his son a rifle for his birthday.

I feel that I have passed the joy on. In the end someone will have to sign off on the requirements. Given the requirement and other BSA stuff on shooting sports it probably needs to be a registered leader with the NRA credentials for that area.
