So I won a Wii two days ago wee! I've never downloaded from Nintendo's virtual console area on my 3DS which I got last August, so I'm getting a little swamped by Nintendo right now so I don't know if the games come out ugly, especially if they will be displayed on a HDTV. Also, are there any bugs with Super Smash Bros. They are the games in my sight, along with Super Mario Galaxy one and two.
I would be grateful for your answers! I'm kinda weak in the head. I have have both Paper Mario and Smash Bros and have never had any problems with either.
Even better, N64 games on the virtual console look better than their original counterparts, as they run at a higher frame rate or some such technical thing like that. Otherwise, I'd say download away.
I don't know the process of how VC emulators are developed, but I've heard just abot zero complaints about performance since the Shop launched. Safe to say there are no problems. What CTipple was trying to say is that N64 games on the Wii run at native x , the N64's highest normal output resolution, which is also the native resolution of the Wii, thus they look considerably better than playing on an N64 with composite, since the N64 only outputs around x with them.
Because of N64 games having so little detail, in my experience p is the resolution that sharpens and smooths everything out- it will likely look blurry on an HDTV, but not jaggy and blurry.
